Honestly, no big surprise here. According to the telephone survey of 1,028 adults conducted Nov. 24 to 27:
While 20% of Americans in the survey say they own an HDTV, only 12% say they know "a great deal" about it. Another 27% know "some" about it.
60% of those in the survey know "not too much" or "nothing at all" about HDTV.
15% say they are looking into buying an HDTV in the near future, and 15% say they plan to wait.
No huge surprise here. Alot of people are content to use the old TV, primarly due to not knowing enough about HDTV and the benefits. Also, they have a hard time dishing out a few grand to fox something that's not yet broke.
