Study: 151 Million HDTV Homes By 2011

The number being tossed around out there is a whopping 151 million HDTVs worldwide by 151 million by 2011. That number seems extrememly low to us. If that is the case, then HDTV has enourmous growth potential, especially abroad. Approximately 58% of those 151 million HDTV's have been sold in the US! Japan comes in a distant second.

So, what about the growth potential? We only 87 million HDTV's have been sold in the US. the US has over 600 million people, and typically has 2-3 TV's per home! Factor in the remainder of the world and your looking at explosive growth! All it's going to take is MORE CONTENT!

We feel that as HDTV prices continue to fall, and more HDTV content becomes more accessible, HDTV growth will continue to growth, and we plan to b right there with it.
